Leonor Fini's long-awaited catalogue raisonné now available

"Leonor Fini (1907–1996) was one of the most extraordinary artists of the twentieth century. She never formally trained as an artist but drew from many influences, notably the Flemish Masters, Symbolism, and Surrealism. An independent and passionate woman who felt an instinctual hostility to the idea of being part of any artistic group or movement, she shared with her avant-garde circle a fervent belief in the power of desire for social and political subversion. This authoritative Catalogue Raisonné is as timely as it is crucial, bringing Fini’s vast body of work to the public so that her immense talent may be discovered, researched, and enjoyed." -- Dr. Alyce Mahon, University of Cambridge

The Catalogue Raisonné, which includes Leonor Fini’s  known 1,249 oil paintings and is lavishly illustrated in color throughout, offers a never before published autobiographical fragment by Leonor Fini, an essay on the artist’s life and work by authority Richard Overstreet, listings of all known works, along with a concise updated biography by British art historian Peter Webb.
